The Team
Head Coach: Richard Parker
Richard started playing tennis at Cavehill and subsequently honed his skills at the Rawstorne Tennis Academy based at the Riverview Club in Dublin.
Richard worked under the tutorage of renowned head coach Francis Rawstorne (Francis coached Thierry Champion, Arnaud Boetsch, and Kathy Tanvier). Richard also coached and played tournaments in France whilst based at Alpe d'Hhuez.
Unfortunately his playing career came to an abrupt end due to a serious back injury, so he continued to develop his coaching skills with Francis. When Francis went to the USA, Richard worked with Michael Nugent, developing a number of the top juniors in Leinster, before returning to Cavehill as Head Coach in 2003.
Since his return, the playing standard and number of members, has increased dramatically. This has been the case especially among the Junior section, were every year they are winning their inter-club leagues. This year we have two girls ranked 4th and 5th in Ulster at Under 12s, and several ranked in the top 10 at older age groups.

Director of Coaching: Greer Parker
Greer has more than twenty years experience working in a number of clubs and schools. He has helped to develop the skills of numerous players of all abilities and standards.
Greer believes tennis is for everyone, no matter their natural ability. Everyone can develop skills to enjoy the game at their own level, and regular playing will improve fitness and wellbeing.
His philosphy is simple - some people want to play competitions, others take part for social reasons, and the rest, simply for fun. However the common denominator is their love of the game.
